pulled my wavebird out of the attic to play melee and the double AAs turned into a forbidden crusty crystal dungeon. poked at it with a flathead screwdriver and an entire contact spring just disintegrated into the shadow realm. trace on the pcb looks like it got hit with corrosive acid splash damage. is this thing permanently bricked or can i rebuild the contact point without an engineering degree.
