My daughter tried installing one of those glowing plastic wifi boxes on our hallway wall last summer. Broke the furnace transformer instantly. I went down into the crawlspace with my flashlight and wired my old 1974 Honeywell T87 back up with the mercury tilt bulb. Worked like a charm. We are making this group so folks can share photos of genuine bimetallic strip hardware, calibrate heat anticipators properly, and stop throwing away heavy brass casings that will outlive us all. Please keep digital touch screens out of this board.
