My hope is that we can share high-magnification optical shots, focus-stacked captures of cantilever assemblies tracking complex grooves, and perhaps even scanning electron micrographs from institutional archives when available. Every piece of pressed polyvinyl chloride carries unique micro-topography, and seeing the tiny gouges left behind by a worn diamond tip reveals an unexpectedly delicate sculpture.
