Everyone keeps insisting that the flyback transformer will immediately melt if we push a 160kHz horizontal scan rate on consumer Trinitrons, but I refuse to accept defeat. I replaced the stock deflection capacitors with high-ripple polypropylene units, and the motion clarity at 280Hz interlaced is utterly glorious. We are making unbelievable progress. Has anyone else successfully bypassed the hardware OSD sync lock on the GDM chassis series? We are so close to achieving total perfection.
