Pundits keep preachin that 5-BNC cables are the holy grail for clean analog signals... but is it really worth the cable stiffness and extra hassle over a good DB15? Tested my Sony G520 yesterday and signal clarity was pretty much identical at 1600x1200 85hz... maybe even worse on BNC due to cheap impedence matching on the adapters... People swear BNC fixes all line noise... but bad grounding inside the monitor is usually what really breaks it... What if DB15 is fine and folk are just buying cheap unshielded garbage cables... anybody else compared both side by side on an oscolloscope?
