Honestly, if you're still manually managing SSH keys in 2024, you're living in the stone age. We have identity-based access now, but half this sub is probably still sharing .pem files over Slack and thinking they're 'secure'. It's embarrassing. Managing authorized_keys files is a recipe for disaster and orphaned access. If you aren't using short-lived certificates, you're basically asking for a lateral movement party in your infrastructure.
