We all love progress, don't we? It's so wonderful that some brilliant minds looked at the already fragile micro-USB port and decided it needed a weird, parasitic twin melted onto its side. I am always so inspired by how hardware engineers can take a perfectly standard concpet and make it twice as wide, three times as fragile, and completely impossible to plug in correctly on the first try in the dark. Surely, having that extra bulk was worth the extra speed for our external hard drives that ended up disconecting if a light breeze hit the cable. That monstrosity is truly a masterclass in design. Thankfully, we got to experience such innovation before USB-C rescued us.
