my uncle gave me this old ansonia kitchen clock to fix up and i tried to put the mainspring back in by hand. big mistake. that spring uncoiled like a pissed off cobra and sliced my thumb open. now there is blood on the plate and i need a tetanus shot. do i seriously need to buy a 100 dollar tool just for this one job or is there a ghetto way to do it without losing a finger.
