Spent four hours trying to salvage switches from an old Leopold. My thumb is literally bruised from that cheap blue plastic desoldering pump. Halfway through I lifted a pad on the spacebar because I got impatient. Now I have to run a jumper wire like some kind of medieval peasant. Just buy hotswap if you value your joints and sanity. Or don't, and suffer like me.
