bck in my day we left the weld beads visible. young people now grind everything down until it looks like cheap pewter. if you wanted a smooth finish go buy some clay instead of wasting good metal. real art should look heavy and mean. leave the damn seams alone. stop hiding your bad joints with a grinding wheel.
