My grandkids got me this digital frame to show pictures. I hated the UI so I cracked it open and soldered some wires to what looked like a UART header. Turns out it runs some ancient linux kernal and has the root password set to admin. Why do these companies even bother with security if they leave the front door wide open. Now I can at least make it displey my own art without their stupid cloud service.
