Everyone loves showing off their pristine white 1995 Packard Bell cases after drowning them in 12% hydrogen peroxide and blasting them with cheap Amazon UV strips. What nobody wants to talk about is how you are fundementally destroying the polymer chains in the ABS plastic. Sure, it looks great for the photo op, but you've essentially accelerated the degradation process, making the plastic incredibly brittle. Give it two years, and those clips you need to snap the bezel back on are going to crumble like stale cookies. I've analyzed some of these treated panels under a microscope at work, and the microfractures are absolutely wild. If you really cared about preservation, you'd leave the yellowed patina alone or just paint the damn thing instead of chemically nuking it. But hey, keep pretending that soaking old tech in hair salon bleach is 'restoration' and wont bite you later.
